Hi Guys, just trying to get the names together for the upcomming Flight School DVD " Fast Track to Tricks" that I will be filming and working on over the next couple of months.

Here is a list of tricks I hope to have on the DVD.

Aerial Tricks:

Comete
Jacops ladder
Flic flac
Back Spin/Rotofade
Rotofade Switch
Yo Yo
Flying Yo yo
Mulitple wrap ups
Lewis
Insane/Continues Lazy Susan
Snap Lazy Susan/rotating turtle

Ground based tricks:
Tornado
Flap jack
Yo yo landing and take off (wrapped)
Sleeping Beauty/Reverse Turtle Take off

Combinations:
Man there are so many, i will include as many as i can.

Care to add any trick you would like to see? Keep in mind this will be a shorter video than the last one so I dont have time for every trick nor want to show ever trick, but if you know of an important one, or another name to add to the current list of mulitiple names for one trick, aka names, I would love to have your input.

Thanks
Dodd

Thanks Ed, trying to avoid repetition from the first DVD. Since that one is still selling so well, I dont want to put to much that is on that dvd on the new one.

So many tricks have mulitple names, this is not a new story, it has always been like that from the begininng, and then there is the claim to fame factory, fliers who want credit for a trick they thought they invented so they rename it, which is really confusing.....

I dont know the wap do wap, or maybe I do just not by that name.

Cointinues axels are on the first Dvd.

So I am trying to list all of the aka names for the tricks as well/

Thanks for your help

Hi there,

This is my first post on this forum. Maybe you can include a "super start" including the setup on the DVD. This trick is also featured on the Phoenix VCD by HQ. It's a nice trick and a great way to start of your routine.

Cheers from the Netherlands

Not to 'impose' Andy's names, but the airburst, volcano, acid drop, and mutex/duplex/triplex combo's would be nice to learn... along with the hosts of other combo tricks.

Once you get past the 5 basic 'aspects' of a kite at rest (in the air):
    stalled,
    on it's back, nose away/turtle,
on it's back, nose towards you/fade,
    on it's belly, nose away/pancake,
on it's belly, nose towards you,

everything else is a combo...

Not to get picky but be sure to spell tricks correctly. Jacob's Ladder for instance.

The "Backspin Switch" must be the "Backspin Cascade". The Insane is not a continuous Lasy Susan as far as I know. A continuous Lazy Susan is a Multilazy, or is it Multi-Lazy?

What is a flying Yoyo? Shouldn't multiple wrap ups be Multiple Yoyo's? The Snap Lazy is a Snap Lazy, not a rotating turtle. That is a Multi-Lazy. I'd add the Snap Multi-Lazy.

If you want to be cutting edge, add the Yo Fade and Crazy Copter. The over-rotated Flic Flac, and rolled up Flic Flac should also be covered, IMO. Also the new Inverse as seen on Ron's Goth Machine video.

Yoyo 540's and Yoyo Half Axels would also be nice. Oh, and Yoyo Snap Lazies, too. Some call these tricks "Rolled up 540's, etc.

I may have more later.

One thing I always fond missing from these videos is a lesson on how to bring tricks together so as to make combinations.

If I start with an axle, then what are the best follow-ups?
I know how to do a lot of the trick, but connecting them has not come easy. There is a gap in the lessons. Please help us slower people LOL.

One DVD covered this area, but made it a bit complicated.
I hope that you will do this Dodd. I am sure if you do, it will be better.

Thank you for listening

Thanks, there is too much repitition and cross over with names, I will use the original names someone has decided to change over the last year, and descriptive names.

a fade yo is a yo yo to fade.
and so on

Thanks for your help

Can I get just a snippit of Spirit video on the DVD? There is hardly any backers of this wonderful kite. Maybe it just needs a little New Tech promotion by including it in say a bonus section of the DVD.

Heyyy.... Could you add the trick where the kite goes up and does this little flippy thingy and then spins around really fast or maybe slow and as it's going out you pull on the one string and the kite kinds does a flutter flat spin move that then translates into me tripping over the beach cooler as the kite dose this awesome lawn dart move and seems to explode on contact with the ground like there was a block of C-4 attached to it????!!

( I know about the grammar, this was supposed to be comical)

Only other name it know this by is the 'Tailspin'

From the fade position...
Pop both lines and allow the kite to over-rotate into the fade position again, with the lines running under the TE and below the kite.
Pop one line to initiate a 360 degree rotation and pull back into a fade.

Also works with a 540 rotation and pull it back from the resultant turtle into flight.
