I just came back from the Hill after about 2 hours with the French Connection and this was about the best session with this kite yet!
I have around 100 hours on Dodds prototype kite and have flown this kite almost exclusively since May. Dodd has made many changes to this proto along the way...connector positions, standoff positions, bridles. The first bridle was a turbo then a "quick change" turbo 3 point and the latest is a straight 3 point bridle.
I am fairly new to the french style tricks and could get them done a few times on different kites in my bag but it was not easy and was alot of work! then comes Dodd with this prototype and says here fly this and let me know what you think.
Tricks I can do consistently with this kite are..flap jacks, lazy susans, multi lazies, cascades, jacobs ladders,up to 6 rungs at a time, backspins, roll up launch, back flip roll up,roll up from a fade roll out.
Tonite the winds were zero to 3 mph and when there was wind it was fairly smooth and the French Connection had me grinning like you do when everything comes together and the moves come close to perfect and easy one after another.
I am have a great time with this kite and it just keeps getting better!
Thank you Dodd!!!!! _________________
