The recent question about the techno reminded me about this. Do you people prefer to add a tail (or three) when the wind is howling or do wind screens work better? I added a tail to my wifes kite one day and she noticed that it had slown down. What are going to be the differences?

Hi Kevin,

On our smaller beginner kites which are used mainly as loopy flyingkites, use a tail, yes it slows them down and in fact, the Ignitor, Detonator and Cherry bomb all come with tails.

The higher performance kites do not come with tails, because it is difficult to trick with them, so they come with screens, or air breaks, hope that helps.
