Hey Guys
I just got a Cherry Bomb a few weeks ago. This is my first sports kite and I am totally hooked. This weekend I picked up a Pyro XS. At this rate I should own about 30 kites by the end of the year .
Last night my wife and I took them both out to the park and flew for a few hours. This was my first chance to fly them back to back and to see them both fly at the same time in equal wind. This was also the first time I had them both assembled next to each other. This left me with a few questions regarding the differences I noticed. Here goes:
Why does the Cherry Bomb have three bridle legs attached to its leading edge while the PXS has only two?
The PXS had more pull and flew higher than the Cherry Bomb when flown side by side. I know this is probably due mostly to differences in size and designs but...
By moving the CB's tow point down a little can I come anywhere close to the PXS's performance?
Also, the trailing edge of the CB seems to have a lot more noisy fluttering in higher winds than the PXS.
Will tightening the line that runs through the trailing edge improve this without hindering it's performance?
I will stop there for now. Hope I didn't overdo it.
If anyone can enlighten me on any of these questions, I would be greatful.
Thanks _________________ 8-D |

Thanks for being such a good NTK Customer!!!!!!!!!
By moving the brilde leg down, you will get more performance out of the Cherry bomb, but loose the low end wind range.
The 3 legs on the CB has 3 legs to stengthen the leading edge in higher winds since it has a light frame.
THE PXS is larger.
You can make the kite fly a bit faster and quieter by tightening the trailing edge leach line. But be careful dont make it too tight.
Best wishes
