|

I just received my French Connection and I must say I'm very pleased with it except for this small detail: I can't get the stand offs to move...
The manual says that they are held in place by a small rubber ring and that you can glue it in place if you want to, but when I tried to take it off in order to move the stand off to the hole near the spine I realized it was already glued but not until I broke it.
Now, my problem isn't the rubber ring (I'll try to get another however I don't know where), my problem is that even after removing the rubber ring I can't move the stand off to the center so that I can use the Yo-Yo Cage.
Please tell me how do I detach the stand offs or are they also glued in place? If that is the case then why are there other holes in the edge and how do I insert the Yo-Yo Cage?

| Carefully slice the nipple with a blade, it will come right out and replace it with another Jako or jako like fitting. |

Mota,
The standoffs just got glued to sail, but they will come out, just pinch the trailing edge at standoff and twist the standoff fitting sideways to pop it out of the trailing edge, you will have to use some force to get them out and you will be able to use the fitting again and just put a drop of glue on the oring to hold it on. _________________

So, everytime I want to change the stand off I have to replace the Jako fitting? Or just this time because it is glued?
I'm sorry but I don't know what a Jako fitting is. Is it that round thing the rubber ring is holding?
My other kites are both from Prism and the system is very different so I'm not accostumed to this one although I find the system you use on your kites seems to be better because it shouldn't cause any line snags like the ones I get on my E2. |

Ooops, sorry about that last post.
winged v was faster than me and answered my question before I wrote it.
I still would like to know what a Jako fitting is though... |
