Would somebody please explain to me the difference between a sled and a parafoil? Also, how does a conynes delta differ from a conventional delta?

Parafoils use ram-air technology to inflate cells that form a multi-surface wing. Sleds can be single surface or use ram-air tubes to create the rigidity necessary in the wing.

A conyne (or box delta) has the addition of an open cell in the wing. I always describe it as a cross between a delta and a box kite. They are extremely stable and can be good lifters. They usually require a tad more wind than a standard delta.

I hope this helps

Thanks Chris. Just looking at sleds in catalogs that most had some sort of spar to help with shape, but not all of them (which was why I had a question).
