This morning while out checking a load of lumber to see if it was good quality i accidently dropped a piece off the stack and while reaching for it a piece of the board slivered off and went rite into my right palm.Rite under the thumb.The sliver was about 13/4 to 2 inches long and penetrated my hand by at least a inch and a half.I was cussing and after looking at it i decided it needed to be looked at by a doctor.I went to the walk in clinic and they took one look at it and said sorry it;s the ER for you.Well 3 hours later 4 stiches and no novacaine I think i have my hand back.Dang this sucks.30 years of being around wood and my first serious injury.I am glad they got it all out too as it was pressure treated stuff.I;ll be back out on the field in a few days.It could of been much worse.
