The manual was written by me (Troy Gunn) and my Team TKO team mate (Jerry Hershey), and a few years ago we donated it to the AKA for all to benefit from. The manual also has the command turning calls listed, that show each different type of turn and the cadence/voice call of each type of turn.

There are several successful teams over the years that have used this manual to help get them started, and still use the team calls from the manual, such as Team TKO, Team Cyborg, Austin EOL, Oklahoma Kiters, Air Zone, Invisible Wind, Team Skyburner, Team Nemesis, etc..
Most of these teams have won or placed top three at the AKA Grand Nationals and/or have competed at the world sport kite championships, or perform at international events around the world.

I wrote the first copy of the manual in 1993, and then later in 1997 it was updated and even more content was added.
