I just got a New Jam kite that I ordered about a week ago.I went to the flying field today to fly it for the first time, and one of the fly lines is about 10 inches longer than the other one.Whats the best way to correct this problem?Should I cut the line and tie it back together? Both ends has a sleeve that the line goes through. Thanks for your help.

What I have done on my lines that get out of adjustment is untie the sleeving and redo the longer line to match the shorter one. You really dont want to cut the line and retie it to length as this will weaken the line. If the sleeving is real tight and you cant get it untied, you may end up having to cut and resleeve one of the lines.

There are some that say you dont need to sleeve flying line, but I prefer to have mine sleeved. I think it makes things easier to larks head to the kite etc. especially in colder weather.

If your lines are only off a couple of inches or so, you can try this handy line length equilizer: http://community.aerialis.no/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=87
