Hi Dodd,

Most likely you will not remember me, but I sure remember U!
I must say that you were/are still the number 1 of flightscool masters! Since the beginning of modern trick kites I was following your instuctions on the flightscool video's. Making notes and analyzing tricks to get them right @ the beach.
Back then I was flying the fist type of Jam session, this must be at least 8 years ago. So for a young kitefreak you were THE MASTER, like the Obi one of trick kites
Thanx to your additions in the kite world I've made it to become first in the belgolux stack "pairs" competition of '99. (long time ago)

Then one day, several years later, I was in Dieppe, flying my own build competition kite on the little grass strip.
Suddenly you (Dodd) was standing next to me, saying only 3 words: "hold my beer"
You graspt the kite and flew it for some time, and were very pleased with the abilities of this kite.
I was stunned, the great Dodd gross standing right next to me, flying my kite! This experience I will never forget, I was very pleased.

The last few years I was into kite-buggying, but since a short while (since my unfortunate skiïng accident I am not allowed to go buggying for several months) my trickkites find their way back to the beach! I've got the chanse to test your French connection kite, superb work of kite!
I hope to see you again one time @ a european festival, maybe then you can hold my beer !

Thank you for the kind words I really appreciate that you took the time to write about our experience in Dieepe.

Its funny to read this now, because for the past week, Chris and I have been on the road visiting customers and teaching and I got the teaching bug back again.

I flew alot, and although I dont know every single new trick there is right now, I found that I do know a lot of them and the new ones started coming to me and I believe I am ready to begin Flight School again.

I had mentioned to Chris several times during the trip that I miss my friends in Europe very much and want to start putting out feelers for going back again this year for Flight School and Festivals.

So, if any of you know any Festivals comming up soon that would want an old guy like me to come and perform and teach, I am ready!
