| Maybe I'm just blind and can't see it, but it appears that my PXS does not have a white mark on the bridle to show the standard setting. Where should this mark be? |

Hi MattTX, welcome to the forum.
The mark may be light, but it should be there. It may be within the loop knot over that is over the outhaul leg (the part of the bridle that you attach your fly line to, that extends to the lower spreader connector) of the bridle.
Any way, check that both the left and right side of the bridles match up. If they dont, you should adjust them so that they are the same.
You may see the white mark on the other side of the bridle.
I can give you measurements of the bridle itself, but that is an unassembled measurement. Later today or in the Am I will go out to the shop and get a Pyro XS, check the bridle against factory specs, and then give you a measurement you can use, using a tape measurer from the upper spreader to the connection loop.
Are you having problems or just want to adjust it>
The Pyro XS is set for beginner level. It flies slow and has little pull for its size. Since the nose is purposly adjust to be more on the forward side, the turning is less, the response is less, the pull is lessened etc....
This is the best setting I have found so far for the Entry to beginner flier.
But by making a small easy bridle adjustment you can change all of that.
The best setting I found that gives me more of a trixster, is to adjust the nose back, move from the factory setting (if you can see it ) about one half inch below the factory setting, you may want to go more if oversteer is what you have in mind.
This is if you want more pull on the kite (remember that you will be taking more chances of spar and line breakage in higher winds at this setting)
Quicker turning, easier axels etc......
let me know

| Actually, I've moved it around from the way it came so I'm not sure exactly where to put it back and use as a reference. I did notice that it was slow flying like you mentioned in normal winds the way it came. However, in 15+ it was pretty nice. Right now I've got it so the knot is about an inch below the LS when the bridle is pulled down over it. Have not had a chance to test at that spot since winds are so light recently (only had kite a couple of weeks). |

Maybe Ed can give you a quick measurement.

Already on it
default bridle(assembled) for Pyro XS:
Upper Outhaul leg: 36cm
Lower Outhaul leg: 47cm
Inhaul leg: 56cm
and yea the mark is very light..its not really pure white(well on my anyway) its more of a dull silver color. Dodd!!! your saying to get the PXS more "freestyle-ish" i should move the bridle towpoint down about half an inch!? im soooo going to try it!(once i get the hard plastic ferrule for the center t, still waiting), i have notice for a very long time how light the feel is on the PXS compare to my other kites.... so by moving the towpoint down half an inch(bringing the nose away from me) this will give better pull, more feel and more response to the kite! awesome! i knew the kite could "snap stall" alot better!!! _________________ http://community.webshots.com/user/ed_diaz1497 |

| Awesome! Thanks Ed I was guesstimating 34.5 for upper based on previously mentioned stretch method. I'll have to set it at 36 + and give it a shot this evening. |
