I have been watching guys and girls fly trick kites at the beach for several years. Every time I would go home and wish that I had bought one and tried it. Well this year I bought a New Tech, M-80, on the second day of our trip. Just so happened the wind was blowing the whole week and I got to fly it 11 or 12 times. I must say I had a blast learning how not to crash it After coming hame and doing the research, I have learned that 10 to 15 and up to 20 mph winds are a little strong for beginers, but I have to say it is better than playing a video game. I had to buy a few parts to fix what I broke, but look forward to flying again.
I guess I will have to wait for fall here in the piedmont of NC. It has been 97 and 90 % humidity. The wind just has not blown here for a month more that a mph or 2 at the most. I have even thought of buying a UL to see if I can get it in the air, but I think some of my landings are a little harsh for a UL.
I am at a disadvantage, no one seems to be into kites here, so I have bought Dodd's dvd to help me learn. Time to go past the stalls, loops and other basics. Dodd you make it look to easy!
I would also like to thank New Tech for a lot of fun that I have missed out over the years. I am a 43 year old kid with my first kite. I also look forward to buying other kites, but I need to beat the m-80 up a little more.
My wish list = UL, Techno, FC. All in due time.
Thanks,

Spence,
Welcome to the kite family! We all hope you continue to enjoy kiting as much as we do! Stunt kites are kind of like Lays potato chips, in that nobody can own just one! LOL
Be prepared to spend much more money on more kites! ; )
