Just a question. Why doesn't NTK use pictures of the real kites rather than just a drawing? For me, I really like photos so it took a while to consider a dual line kite from NTK just for that reason.

Hi Kervin,

All the product in our print catalog are photographed. If the website hasn't caught up it is because the graphics department is too busy designing cool things for next year.

Cheers!

Hi Kervin,

All the product in our print catalog are photographed. If the website hasn't caught up it is because the graphics department is too busy designing cool things for next year.

What I am reading is that a c-u-s-t-o-m-e-r would like photographs, which you already have available through your catalog - hence the images are ready, and that it took that c-u-s-t-o-m-e-r (i.e., Kervin) a while to purchase an NTK product because he does not like drawings.

I happen to share the same position and did not purchase an NTK kite until I saw one photographed, which took a while (in the mean time, I purchased kites from other manufacturers and passed on the NTK kites). Botom line: NTK is losing some sales because of this, it is not the only time I have read this complaint, and please, how hard is it to "load" a photograph onto the official NTK Web Site?

Richard

Richard, thanks for expressing the same thoughts I have. It's funny how the FC pictures (photographs) seem to have whipped people into a fever pitch. I wonder what would have happened it there were just drawings posted?

Yeah!!! And what about cost??? How much do you pay the people that sketch these kites (don't really want to know)? Would it not be cheaper to send the janitor out with a digital camera, get some real pictures and some real sales?

Shoot! I bet the janitor can even put the picture on the website too... ask him.

I will have to agree with the actual pictures better than drawings idea. I have purchased several NT kites and do not have the kite shop close to me, so I would do a search on the net for pictures of the kites I was thinking of getting. If you post photos, please include the bridle so it is visable.

PS....I have not been unhappy with any of my New Tech kites....

I personally like actual photos also! But what really gets me to buy a kite is, To hold it in my hands and be able to truely look at it. Then I will come to the forum and do a search for the kite name, and find out what the fliers are saying about it. It tends to be a long process for me trying to find a kite dealer that sells a particular kite.

But I now have realized that I can not go wrong buying NTK kites online!!!!

Thanks NTK and Dodd for producing some really awesome kites!! My hat, kevlar helmet, is off to you.

Yea,I wait for photos also, the kite image is always better in a photo than a drawing(at least so far) if I'm considering buying I want to see the kite in the best format.

Kervin,
I believe all the new products have been updated for months.

Chris,
I would like to suggest that along with the pics of each kite, that y'all also include the specs for each kite too, such as dimensions, frame type, wind range, skill level, recommended line strength.

Thanks!

I wrote this because when I look at the product page for each kite, the page only shows me the kite. My internet browser is not seeing the text dimensions of the kite unless I highlight the text on the page, and then I can see it. the probelm is that your webmaster is using white text on a tan background, and some browsers aren't picking up on the white text. Tell you webmaster to change the text to black, and it shouldn't be a problem then.

Thanks!

I agree that photos beat drawings. I'd like to add my complaint about the assembly & flying instruction manuals included with the PyroXS and Techno. These kites aren't specifically mentioned, as are the M-80, Dynamite, Firestorm, Ignitor, Fuse, and Firecracker. I realize the info I needed was gleaned from directions for the other kites. However, it's like my kites got leftover instruction manuals. I'd also like my newest Pride and Joy to have all the specs (as Team TKO posted on July 27th) listed on page 22, the kite specifications page.
