We took a trip to Long Beach, Wa last weekend. While walking around we found lots of kite stores. I had always wanted a stunt kite since I was a child. So I bought a Detonator. I am completely new to kites and this has been lots of fun. The wind blows every evening and I have had a lot of fun so far.

I just ordered a bigger kite with the instructional video. After watching some of the clips on this site I was really impressed. I ordered a Big Bang with the dvd for my second kite.

Anyway, hi all.

I have gotten addicted to these kites. It is windy every night and I have room to fly in my backyard on shorter lines. I have been watching the video and trying to learn some tricks. I havent crashed and broken anything yet. But I did manage to poke a hole in my detonator taking it apart.

What's the best way to repair the hole... I was thinking of using the sticky nylon tent material... Is there a better way?

I ordered a Cherry Bomb so I have a small medium and large kite quiver... Thanks for everyones help.

Is it best to put the Tedlar Tape on both sides of the sail over the tear, or will just the backside do?
