What is the factory recommended settings for the bridle connection point to the flying line for the Cherry Bomb? I have moved the point up and down and did not mark the orginal setting and would like to get back to the recommened setting.

Hi Scott,

The mark should be 56 cm from the end of the loop that is tied to the center spine.

Started flying a cherry bomb (first ever kite) this summer and have a bridle question.

I have heard people talk about moving the bridle setting up (closer to the nose?) for lighter winds. Are they talking about moving one of the bridle legs up on the leading edge or changing the position where the the bridle is tied? Also, how much adjustment if any would be recommended?

Hi Jim,

The adjustable portion of the bridle is the leg that runs from the upper leading edge to the center spine. It is attached to the other leading edge legs via a larks head slip knot at the tow point. It is this slip knot that is adjustable. Notice the slip knot has a white mark at the loop that forms the slip (this is the factory setting). This mark is what you use as a guide. Loosen this slip knot to make an adjustment. A little movement is all you need to make a noticeable change in flying performance. Moving the mark away from the tow point more than two inches in (even in extreme conditions) will be too much. You should experiment to find the setting that best suits your flying style and wind conditions.

Thanks for the info.
I see the mark on the bridle now. I only see a mark on one side, so I wll make sure to measure everything first.
There was plenty of wind today, so I will leave the bridle tweaking for another day.
