Hi Rick,

very nice pics. I'm a bit jealous of you flying in t-shirt and shorts (... and one of the rare FC protos) . Here in Europe the "dirty and cold" fall began nice to see, the sun is still there

Hi Mike,
Glad you liked the pictures from the Nationals. I only was there for the day. 7 hours on the road for 6 hours on the beach but worth it! That was John Barresi in the shorts and Scott ? flying the French Connection for the first time. The weather here has been very warm for this time of year but its about to change we are running out of day light quick. Get home at 6:00 and run for the hill to fly and its dark at 7:00. I hate winter!

Dodd and New Tech are getting close to starting production on the French Connection and I cant wait, I have close to 175 hours on that proto and I want a tight new one....BAD.

Great to see you in OC Rick. I was surpised you were there, since I was told you were not going to make it. Nothing like a little road trip to the beach to get you motivated. Thanks again for sharing the pictures.

Hey Chris,
Nice to see you again! Wish I would have had more time to spend on the beach flying. I have a question for you...what was that little blue stack of kites you were flying down by the water?

Yes, a little confusing perhaps. But this is the 'original' Mirage with modern tweeks (Polyester sail, carbon / micro carbon frame). By original, I mean circa mid 1980s. It was around before that other kite designer knew what a stunt kite was.

Rick,

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them.

Glad we got to meet you on the beach!

Yep, that's John in the shorts, and Scott Ralston flying the FC. Both fly on TKS Mid Air. We brought a FC home with us, and have already pre-ordered numbered and signed FC's way back in June.

Thanks again for sharing the pics!

Theresa

Hi Theresa,

Thanks for Scott's last name...so many names its hard to keep track without taking notes! Nice to meet you guys too.

Very nice website "Serious Kites" I signed up last night and will be checking in often!

Does Scott have any air time on the French Connection yet? Make sure he keeps us posted on his thoughts. I have lots of time on the FC and would like to hear what others think also.Did I mention, I love the FC's performance? That kite has opened all the doors to the tricks that I have wanted to get down and it flies great also!
