Do people glue their spreader connectors? My Big Bang Pro upper spreader connector positions differ about an inch along the leading edge. Does anybody know the correct positions for the kite? Once those are determined, should I glue them down? What about any need for them to rotate to ease stress on the frame? Thanks.

Hi Martinz,

'Stops' need to be glued to prevent the connectors from moving down the leading edge, as that is where the forces of pressure want to send the spar.

Measured from the (nose) end of the leading edge spar, the distance to the glued stopper at the top spreader juncture is 33.5 cm.

Measured from the top end of the bottom half of the leading edge spar, the distance to the glued stopper at the lower spreader juncture is 25 cm.

I hope this helps. I'd be glad to fax a sheet if that will help.

Chris

Thanks Chris. Somebody tipped me off to the fact that there are factory markings on the spars. I am assuming that those are for the positions of the O-ring stoppers. Am I correct in believing that the marks are for the stoppers not the bridle or the connectors? Thanks again.

Regards,
Martin

Martin,

Yes, any marks found on the leading edge will be for 'stop' positions.
