23rd Annual Rogallo Kite Festival - June 9-12
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Jockey's Ridge State Park, Nags Head, NC
The 2005 Rogallo kite festival will continue honoring Francis M.Rogallo, NASA scientist and inventor of the Flexible Wing. This three day festival will feature Kitty Hawk Kites signature kite flying on the dunes of Jockey's Ridge as well as nightly entertainment celebrating the history of kiting. Thursday night after a great day on the dune join Kitty Hawk Kites for the famous kite auction to benefit the Rogallo Foundaiton. Then Friday night come to the annual kite street dance for a night of summer fun. On Saturday night come to the second annual outdoor film screening. Throughout the three day festival there will be exhibition and demonstration including free children's kite making and much more.

Still dont know if I am going, If I do, i will leave Friday morning and be there Friday night. Still need to find a place to stay since the kiteRV is not up and running right now.
