Hello Bhav,
The specs on the parts you need:
.230 (6mm) carbon tubes x 75cm
Look for a kite shop in your area. If you need assistance in finding one, contact Spirit Of Air - 01633 246788 in Newport, Gwent. They will have an idea of where to find carbon
Our favorite shop in the UK is:
The Kite Store
020 7836 1666
48 Neal Street, London WC2H 9PA
Sad news is it looks as if they are closing at the end of the month.
I hope this helps,
Chris

Most UK places only sell Avia rods that are 82.5 cm long (including the link previously given). That's not long enough for a New Jam leading edge, as I found to my dismay when I broke mine recently.
My New Jam's leading edge is currently made from two of the shorter spars. It's rather more work (and expense) than the simple long rod replacement.
The only UK place I know that definately sells the longer ones (found since doing that) is Woolmer Forest Composites (see http://www.woolmer.co.uk/ctube.html). I've been told Dunstable Kites also do so, though it's not obvious from their web pages.
You should be able to hook/pull the broken rod out of the ferrule. Unless by "lower" you mean the shorter, glued end ? |
